Traffic Collision

I saw the body of the woman mentioned in this report. We drove past what must have been a few minutes after it happened. The body was dismembered, I think a leg had been torn off. I tried not to get a clear look but it was hard to look away. Thankfully the face was not quite visible.

The scene was a bit unreal. Not very much blood, and the body looked almost rubbery. I thought it was odd that I didn’t feel ill. Instead I’ve just been deeply unsettled all night.

Can’t imagine how my med school / doctor friends deal with stuff like this as a matter of professional necessity.
